Distributor Manager

Description:

This role is to assist with the day to day management of a well-established network of distributors, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are being met. The candidate will also be responsible for providing sales support to existing academic customers. This role will require frequent domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new distributors within defined territories
  • Monitor the performance of existing distributors and act accordingly when a negative, or positive, trend is identified
  • Answer general enquiries and price requests from our distributors and academic accounts via email / phone
  • Provide distributors with product training via teleconference / face-to-face as required
  • Meet with distributors at domestic and international conferences
  • Organise the annual distributor training day
  • Prepare a bi-monthly newsletter for the distribution network
  • Share academic conference leads with select distribution partners
  • Provide new distributors with relevant documentation – vendor profile, distributorship agreement, and the price list
  • Monitor distributor websites to increase the Company’s online presence
  • Prepare training materials to aid our distribution network in the sale of our products (e.g. sell sheets)
  • Prepare a monthly report on distributor sales

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2B sales/account management
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with all levels of management across the Company
  • Ability to meet set targets and contractual obligations
  • Must be very organised and customer focused
  • Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision whilst contributing to a team environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience in immunoassay development
  • Experience of working with an established distributor network
  • Knowledge and experience of Salesforce and ISO9001:2008 is desirable but not essential
