Two new laboratory posts

Want to join the world leader in antibody labelling and bioconjugation? We now have openings for talented, highly motivated scientists with protein, antibody or immunoassay skills. Irrespective of your possible technical input, a willingness to be a team player is an overriding consideration. The positions below require at least a BSc, preferably a Masters or PhD, plus at least two years of relevant lab experience, ideally in an industrial setting. The division of skills into the two posts below is arbitrary. Exceptional candidates who do not offer the full range of required skills for any single post, but who have broad experience that is relevant to both areas are also encouraged to apply. Salaries for the positions below will be commensurate with experience.

Chromatography scale up scientist/bioconjugation scientist (Position A)

You will be involved primarily in transferring products from R&D to production and/or in scaling up processes in the production lab. You will also participate in custom labelling projects for clients and possibly some early-stage R&D. Significant experience in low pressure chromatography is required (scale 1ml to 50ml, but occasionally as much as 1L-2L). Ion exchange, gel filtration and affinity techniques would be the most relevant; significant experience with AKTA systems would be a major plus. Experience in chemical modification, antibody labelling and antibody fragmentation techniques would also be useful.

Assay development/R&D scientist (Position B)

This position is in our R&D lab and will require someone with a very broad spectrum of protein/assay skills, including some or all of the following: antibody purification, antibody conjugation with a variety of labels, especially particles or nanoparticles), gel electrophoresis, development of microplate assays, (e.g. ELISA, fluorescence assays), and development and optimization of lateral flow devices. Experience in other immunoassay or diagnostics techniques would also be useful.

If you are interested in any of the above positions please send your CV to Human Resources, Innova Biosciences Limited, Maia Building, Babraham Research Campus, Babraham, Cambridge CB22 3AT. CVs may also be emailed to hr@innovabiosciences.com. Please clearly identify the post for which you are applying, and explain in your covering letter/CV why you think you would add value to Innova's business.

The closing date is 17 July but interviews may start before then, so please submit your CV at the earliest opportunity. If you have not heard from us by the end of July you can assume that your application is not being taken forward.

We are always looking for talented, highly motivated individuals and we may create other positions at any time, at any level, for the right people. If you think you have something to offer, let us know.
