Activated avidin is covalently
attached in a controlled process
at near-neutral pH. The use of
a stable avidin reagent
at a low molar ratio of avidin:antibody,
combined with highly efficient
labeling process, means that desalting/dialysis
steps are not needed and that
avidin labeling can be carried
out even at microgram scale without
