Atto610 is part of the new generation of fluorescent labels for the red spectral region. The dye presents high fluorescence emission at 640nm when excited at 575nm (extinction coefficient 1.5 x10⁵ cm^-1M^-1) and high quantum yield.

Atto610 can be used as a substitute dye for DY-610, BODIPY 630/650 and LightCycler Red 640 and Carboxynapthofluorescein.
